Here It Begins

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. The warmth of college freedom was on the horizon, but the joyous flame of high school memories was nearly extinguished. The creation around us gets greener as it lurches toward spring, but the world around us seems to be lunging farther from sanity. The homeland is peaceful, once again, but our brothers are dying to protect us half a world away.

And so this blog begins. Its purpose? Every Betty Crocker needs her recipe book, if you will. This is primarily reactionary to my usual perusal of the blogs of other folks. Suddenly it hit me… what if the Seven Dwarfs won’t shave their legs? Actually, my epiphany was more along the lines of, “You own the domain, you like to write, you think- why not combine all of the above?” And so, Crimson Velocity was born.

I think this will be a repository for my general disposition toward life, a collection of assorted thoughts I believe people should know, a trove of my most treasured metaphors, and a record of my journey around the sun. So, my dear friends, trusted allies, and prudent enemies: stay tuned. The best sledding only comes after the snow.
